Grace Neill's is the oldest pub in Ireland.
It offers fine dining in the restaurant and two atmospheric bars (and a benign ghost).
Experience Donaghadee and the friendliest welcome in Ireland.
In life, the presence of Grace was such that the pub, originally called The King's Arms, was renamed in her honour.
The King's Arms was established in 1611, making it, according to The Guinness Book of Records, the oldest pub in Ireland. A seventeenth-century visitor, the Marquis de Vere, noted that the establishment "served good food and excellent ale", a tradition that continues at Grace Neill's today.
With seating for up to one hundred diners, the Restaurant, located toward the rear of the building, offers a non-smoking area and ample wheelchair access. In the summer months guests can avail themselves of al fresco dining courtesy of the terrace beyond the French doors windows.
A regularly changing display of local art adorns the walls of the restaurant. Many of the works are for sale and collectively they represent the diversity of artistic expression emerging from the region.
