Ballymote House is a friendly family home situated in its own parkland, offering country house accommodation in the heart of Historic St. Patrick's Country, County Down, Northern Ireland. It provides the ideal surroundings to relax, unwind and enjoy country living at its best.
As a listed Georgian house built around 1730 it has been beautifully restored to the highest standards, with antique furniture throughout. Another of its special features is the plantsman's garden designed by the Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal winner, George Carter.
It’s the ideal base for exploring nearby wonderful gardens, challenging golf courses, spectacular mountains, deserted coastline and unspoilt countryside for walking and horse riding. There’s something for everyone!
There are 4 bedrooms available for guests, 2 with ensuite bathrooms (see website for more details). Labelled “a true star of the North" by The Irish Examiner and listed in the Bridgestone guide to "100 Best Places To Stay in Ireland" surely your stay in Ireland simply wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Ballymote House.
