Anna's House

Anna's House is a luxurious Country House in County Down, Ireland, ten miles from Belfast. We provide award winning comfortable, friendly accommodation and specialize in delicious organic food. We do everything we can to make your stay one of your happiest memories of Ireland.

We have been recognised as one of the 100 Best Places to Stay in Ireland by the prestigious Bridgestone Guide in both 2003 & 2004. Our large organic gardens were featured on BBC television, and the Irish News called Anna's House an "exceptional experience".

Take a moment to relax and wander along a winding footpath among the flowers and shrubs, discover a secret pond, or stretch out on a hammock in the pine grove. Our garden is a very personal one, and has been planted and nurtured over the last thirty years in what was once an open two-acre field. It is a tranquil retreat and home to many kinds of wildlife.

Our natural ten acre lake is stocked with brown and rainbow trout. You can fly-fish from a rowing boat, but it is a challenge to hook one as the water is very deep and feeding plentiful. There are ducks, moorhens and swans to be seen, as well as the occasional heron. You may find it pleasant on a warm day to step into the rowing boat and drift among the yellow native water lilies.
