Paul Arthurs served a long apprenticeship under Michelin-starred chefs- including Michael Deane (Restaurant Michael Deane) and Robbie Millar (Shanks) before setting up his own Paul Arthurs, in Kircubbin, in 2002.
This restaurant is situated on the Ards Peninsula in the little coastal village of Kircubbin. Having opened in July 2002 Paul's restaurant is quickly carving its name with seafood lovers. Being on the lough shore and in close proximity to Portavogie and Portaferry it has fantastic access to fresh fish and shell fish, cracked crab claws, steamed mussels, grilled lobster and of course seared scallops, all from Strangford Lough, and remain staples of "the catch of the day" menu (when in season).
The ' Catch of the Day' element of the menu is changed at will to ensure quality and the upmost freshness. All our fish is locally sourced from Portavogie with all Shellfish being harvested when in season from Strangford Lough - either hand dived or kreel caught.
