Situated behind Trasnagh Island. The approach from Ringhaddy is between Darragh and Parton Islands. Visitors can anchor outside the moored yachts or the boatman can advise if a mooring is available. There is a short stay pontoon , which has 2 metres depth for three hours either side of high water. Water hose available. Hauling out facilities, including mast crane. Showers open every day and bar on Wednesdays and Saturdays. SLYC is the home of the Classic River class, which are 9 metre wooden day boats dating back to the 1930's. Its a joy to see them jostling for position at the starts of their regular races. There is also a fleet of 10 classic wooden day boats called Glens all named after Irish Glens. SLYC hosts many Championships especially for Flying Fifteens and Sonatas. The recently built new Clubhouse was opened by 'The Princess Royal' in July 2000.
