Slieve Patrick

Slieve Patrick Statue A statue of St. Patrick stands on Slieve Patrick above the villages of Saul and Raholp. Similarly this statue was erected to commemorate the 1,500th anniversary if St. Patrick's landing in Ireland and the work which he carried out. The statue looks down across Saul, the surrounding towns and also the peninsula of Lecale where Patrick's work began. The view from the statue is impressive.

On the first Sunday in June a pilgrimage to Slieve Patrick is made, passing the stations of the cross up to the altar where a ceremony is held .
